A couple of new features to announce today…
Check a member's status in any member grouping
We regularly get asked support questions along the lines of, "Why is member X not showing in the list of members called Y?" The list of members is always a "member grouping", such as "Regular Member", "Active Singers", etc. The question is then why that specific member is not showing in that list/grouping. The answer is always, "Well, to be included in a member grouping, a member's settings (in their membership/participation records) must match the grouping's criteria. Update the member grouping to examine the criteria, and compare it to the member's membership/participation records."
The new tool we've just released will tell you exactly WHY the member is not showing in the list (or IS showing in the list)…
It should be completely straightforward to use: To check why a member is or is not part of a grouping, just select the member you want to check, and select the member grouping you want to check against, and click the "Check" button. Then look to see which criteria show MATCH or NO MATCH to determine why the member is or is not part of the grouping.
To find this new tool, visit your Admin Dashboard, and click the link called "Member Groupings" (on the "Members" line), and scroll to the bottom of the page. Note that when you click the "Check" button, you'll need to scroll to the bottom of the page again to see the result.
New feature in the APP: Event programs
The App now supports (shows) event programs. If your event has a program, it will now show in the App, as a new tab on the event's screen…
There were also several fixes made to the App, for issues such as not all song files playing properly.
